Bolts & Bytes encourages students to learn critical 21st century skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) with programs that provide hands-on learning, help with critical thinking skills and even boost self-confidence. Our after school & summer camp curriculum features imaginative, skill-building projects that lead up to larger, more adventurous creations that unlock students’ new skills. We combine maker technology like 3-D printing, coding, robotics, electronics and drones with a fully featured makerspace with all the fabrication tools that your imagination may require!
Bolts & Bytes Maker Academy is a fully equipped educational makerspace that offers after school STEM classes, weekend classes, and STEM Summer Camps in Jacksonville Beach, FL. We combine maker technology like 3D printing, coding, robotics, electronics and drones with a fully featured makerspace. We are here to guide, encourage, stimulate and excite our students about their world and the vast possibilities that it offers them.
If you can design it on a computer, we can print it on our 3D printers! This class introduces students to computer-based
design tools and basic 3D printing and fabrication techniques.

Micro-Drone Racing Pilot School
Learn to pilot "Tiny Whoop" class drones (micro quadcoptrs with onboard video cameras) and test your skills on our custom-built indoor race course.
Robotics Racing Camp
Who can build a robot that is the fastest, slowest, most powerful, etc.? These challenge-based robotics activities introduce students to robotics construction and basic coding.
Internet of Things 101
Build your own contraptions that you control using the internet. Maybe your creation will take action when you receive a tweet, like light up and make a noise. Maybe your contraption will do something special like raise a flag in your room when the surf conditions are just right.
